Agility
Dog agility began in England in 1978 and is one of the fastest growing dog sports in the United States. Handlers direct their dogs through a timed obstacle course, which includes jumps, tunnels, a see-saw, weave poles and more. It's a great way to further strengthen the bond between you and your dog. And it's almost as much fun to watch as it is to play.

$120 per 6 weeks for one dog.
$110 per 6 weeks for two dogs.
$100 per 6 weeks for three or more dogs.

**Important note / pre-requisite: Before enrolling in any of our agility classes, all students must have attended our "Basic Manners" class or have taken

Modular 1 - Introduction to Agility Class
In
this class you will learn the basic foundation skills to get you
started with
your agility training. The modular nature of the class will mean that
when you
are ready to start, you can begin. No more waiting for the start of a
new
session. Providing there is room in the class, there will be room for
you to
begin - the very week you are ready and eager to do so.
Each
week in
the class we will teach particular basic skills at a variety of
levels. You
will be able to repeat the modular class sessions for as long or as
little
time as it takes to master the skills needed for the next level. On
successful
acquisition of the skills taught in the class, you will be invited to
join the Modular 2 Intro / Starters agility class, where you will
learn the
equipment and simple jumping sequences.
From there, if there
is
room available, you may elect to join one of our regular agility
classes (at
the appropriate level) or continue your agility training in an
individual or
small group private lesson setting.

Starter / Novice Level Agility Class
For dogs and handlers who would like to just have fun or wish to start competing in agility trials.
This class is for those new to our system of handling and teaching agility. Your dog should be familiar with all the obstacles and may have begun to sequence a few (e.g. take 2 or 3 jumps in a row / sequence a jump, tunnel, jump etc.) You may have learned these skills in our own Introduction to Agility class or at some other location. You will be introduced to our method of handling using the basic patterns found in most agility courses. We will spend some time helping you to begin to teach your dog to weave and do contacts independently (though this will require more time than is available in class). We will also introduce you to agility competition rules and what to do at your first trial. You will make friends with like-minded people and have lots of fun in this and all our other classes.
Day / Time of Starter / Novice Agility Classes
Novice / Open Level Agility Classes
For those preparing or just beginning to compete in agility trials. You will have completed our Beginner / Novice classes or have otherwise become familiar with all the agility equipment and have begun some sequence handling.
Precise contact and weave performance is not necessary for entry into this class. The class is designed to help you and your dog to become comfortable with all the basic patterns found in agility competitions and to perfect strategies for handling them. Time will be spent on teaching your dog independent weave, contact and obstacle performance, though this will require more practice time than we will be able to provide in class. We will build on the skills already acquired through our programs so far until you can successfully and consistently handle the challenges posed by a typical novice / open level course.
